The concentration of PM2.5 in the capital Dhaka greatly exceeds the safe level determined by the World Health Organization.

    In order to better protect the environment, reduce air pollution, and continue the national infrastructure construction process, the Bangladeshi government closed a large area of brick kilns and built new brick factories.
